Rules governing this NPC;

♣ The shop and its denizens are permanent mod-run NPCs.
      The characters herein will not at any point be transferred to PC status at the request of a new player. They are too influential, and frankly, too useful a plot device. No single person should control deus ex machina plot points like that, it's not fair to the other players.
♣ These characters have the right to influence your characters.
      As part of their function within the game, these characters will be allowed to make deals with and grant wishes to playable characters. They can be a great help--but it will cost your characters should they ask. Keep in mind that if you seek the help of one of the NPCs on this journal, they will exact a price and may not tell you what it is beforehand. You will not be allowed to ignore whatever consequence they dole out, so think carefully before you ask. (It should be noted, however, that they will never be allowed to kill a PC without prior consent.)
♣ These characters will occasionally blur the IC/OOC line.
      Yuuko-san is one of those infuriating characters who knows things about you when you walk through her door that your closest confidante might not. Do not be surprised if your character's deepest desires or fears are suddenly announced to them when they walk in the door. If you play with these NPCs, you run that risk.

Bear in mind that even when these characters leave the shop and come to your PCs, your PC will be offered a choice before any consequences will be imposed. It is always your decision whether or not to accept their help, and it is your decision to accept the consequences of that help. In some cases it might even be your choice to further upset your PC's situation if you abuse the object you are given.
